PEER REVIEW AND CPA FIRM SERVICES

All members of the AICPA are required to undergo a Peer Review and many of the 50 states now requires, as a condition of licensing, for the firm or individual to undergo a Peer Review. Currently there are over 30,000 Firms nationwide enrolled in the AICPA Peer Review Program. A Peer Review is an independent appraisal of an Accounting and Audit Practice following the Rules as progromated by the AICPA. Firm’s performing Audits and Reviews are required to undergo a System Review and for firms that do not perform Audits under General Accepted Auditing Standards an Engagement Review is required.
